LARCHFIELD KIDS serves as a safe and secure refuge for young children in Mkuranga, Tanzania (south of Dar-es-Salaam). Many of these children have lost their families due to the high incidence of HIV in the area and would otherwise lack the basic amenities such as shelter, nourishment, care and education. The Larchfield home currently houses 60 young children and aims to expand to support 300 with a caring environment for these orphans, so they may thrive. At present, there are thousands of children living without access to even a basic level of food and water, security and care. This project began with them in mind.
